A cyberbullying poster for the bullying that follows pupils home

Bullying no longer stops at the school gate. Group chats, social media, games and messaging apps mean pupils can be targeted at any time. A cyberbullying poster on the wall helps children and young people recognise it, understand that it is never acceptable, and know the simple steps to take when it happens.

These posters support your online safety curriculum, PSHE and RSHE lessons, anti-bullying policy and computing classes, and they work equally well in ICT suites, libraries and youth settings.

Four cyberbullying poster designs

Choose a design from the Design menu above and the main image switches to show it.

Design 1 – “Be Kind Online”

A bright illustration of children using tablets and phones, with the message Think before you post. Tell a grown-up. Made for primary schools, computing rooms and reading corners.

Design 2 – “Stop. Block. Tell.”

A bold typographic poster for secondary schools and colleges with the widely taught three-step response to online bullying, plus Save the evidence and talk to someone you trust.

Design 3 – “Words Online Hurt Too”

An emotive design showing a phone with a broken heart and the reminder Think before you type. Aimed at teenagers in corridors, form rooms and sixth-form areas.

Design 4 – “What Is Cyberbullying?”

An educational poster explaining four common forms — mean messages or comments, sharing photos without permission, leaving people out of group chats and fake profiles — ending with If it happens, tell an adult. Ideal for PSHE and computing lessons.

How to use cyberbullying posters in school

Cyberbullying often happens outside school hours, so posters need to give pupils steps they can remember at home. Use a design as a starter in computing or PSHE lessons and practise the routine together: don’t reply, screenshot the messages, block the account and tell a trusted adult.

Put posters next to computers, tablets and charging points, where pupils are most likely to think about their phones. Share the same designs with parents at e-safety evenings so the advice is the same at school and at home. Pair this range with our online safety poster for wider internet safety, and with a stop bullying poster in corridors so pupils see that online and offline bullying are taken equally seriously. Our e-safety poster adds clear classroom rules for every age group. For posting, privacy and comments, see our social media safety poster.

ICT suites and computing rooms, libraries, form rooms, corridors near lockers, sixth-form common rooms and anywhere pupils use devices. Design 2 also works well on the back of toilet and changing-room doors, where pupils can read it privately. For wider internet safety habits such as passwords and privacy, add an online safety poster.
