At Academic Poster, we’re committed to providing high-quality poster printing and excellent customer service. This policy outlines our returns, refunds, cancellations, and delivery responsibility terms.

1. General Returns Policy

Printed Products Are Non-Returnable

Due to the custom nature of our printing service, once a poster has been printed, it cannot be returned for a refund or credit — with one exception. This is because each poster is a bespoke product manufactured specifically for your order.

Exception: Quality Issues & Printing Faults

If your printed poster arrives with a fault caused by our printing process, we take full responsibility and will either reprint your poster free of charge (including free shipping) or refund your payment in full — your choice.

2. Quality Issues & Printing Faults (Our Responsibility)

What constitutes a printing fault?

We’re responsible if your poster arrives with any of the following issues caused by our printing or quality control:

  • Blurry, pixelated, or low-resolution output
  • Significant colour mismatch from your submitted file
  • Misaligned printing or cropping
  • Missing or incomplete sections
  • Visible defects in paper or printing
  • Damage during our packaging or dispatch

How to report a quality issue:

  • Contact us within 5 working days of receiving your poster
  • Provide your order number and clear photos from multiple angles

3. Customer Errors (Not Our Responsibility)

If you ordered the wrong size, material, or file, we’re unable to accept returns. This includes:

  • Wrong poster size ordered (e.g., A0 instead of A1)
  • Wrong paper type selected
  • Colour inaccuracy due to your file
  • Blurry printing because your file had low resolution
  • Missing design elements not included in your file
  • Design changes of mind or dissatisfaction

💡 Tip: Review the digital proof we can provide before printing begins. Request this in your order notes — completely free!

4. Cancellations & Change of Mind

Before Printing Starts

If you wish to cancel BEFORE we start printing, you’re eligible for a full refund. Refunds processed within 5–10 working days.

⏰ Important: Let us know as soon as possible. Once we begin printing, this policy no longer applies.

After Printing Starts

If printing has already begun and you request to cancel, we can only refund 50% of your order value. The remaining 50% represents materials and labour already invested.

Once your order is handed over to our shipping partner, delivery becomes their responsibility, not ours.

We Are NOT Responsible For:

❌ Shipping delays by the delivery company
❌ Late deliveries beyond estimated timeframe
❌ Lost packages
❌ Delivery to wrong addresses
❌ External delays (weather, strikes, etc.)

We ARE Responsible For:

✅ Printing and packaging your poster correctly
✅ Handing over undamaged posters on time
✅ Damage caused by our packaging during dispatch

6. Damaged or Broken Deliveries

If your poster arrives damaged, broken, or in a crushed tube, we will either reprint and resend free of charge or refund in full — your choice.

7. Order Replacements (Our Fault Only)

If we’ve made an error, you’re entitled to either a free reprint or full refund.

Replacement with Next-Day Delivery

If your original order had a fault and you’d like a replacement with next-day delivery, the upgrade is FREE. This only applies if you place the replacement order before 2pm Monday–Friday.

Example: You order Friday with Standard Shipping. It arrives Tuesday with a printing fault. You request a reprint with DPD Next Day on Wednesday before 2pm → we print Wednesday and deliver Thursday at no extra cost.

8. Refused Deliveries

If you refuse delivery when the package arrives:

  • The poster will be returned to our warehouse
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • If undamaged, you may receive a refund minus return shipping
  • Contact us for return authorization before refusing

9. Business Hours & Order Processing

Operating Hours

We operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We do NOT work on weekends or bank holidays.

Weekend & Sunday Orders

Orders received Saturday or Sunday will be processed Monday morning. If you order Sunday and select next-day delivery, it will arrive Tuesday (next working day). To guarantee next-day delivery, order before 2pm Monday–Friday.

Same-Day Printing

Orders placed before 2pm Monday–Friday will be printed same-day and dispatched within 24 hours.

10. Refund Processing

All approved refunds are processed within 5–10 working days to your original payment method. Your bank may take an additional 2–5 working days to process.

Partial Refunds (Cancellations)

If you cancel after printing starts, 50% is retained. The remaining 50% is refunded using the above timeline. No refund of shipping charges in this scenario.

11. International Shipping

Academic Poster currently only ships to UK addresses. We do not offer international or overseas shipping at this time. If you have international delivery requirements, please contact us to discuss custom arrangements.
