An e-safety poster for every classroom and ICT suite
An e-safety poster keeps the most important online safety rules in front of pupils whenever they pick up a laptop, tablet or phone. Schools in England are expected to teach pupils how to stay safe online as part of computing and RSHE, and a clear poster on the wall turns those lessons into habits pupils can see and repeat every day.
These four designs cover every age group, from friendly rules for infants to digital footprint messages for secondary pupils, so you can build a consistent e-safety message across the whole school.
Four e-safety poster designs
Choose a design from the Design menu above and the main image switches to show it.
Design 1 – “Our E-Safety Rules”
A bright classroom rules poster with four simple promises: keep personal details private, ask before you download, be kind online and tell an adult if you feel worried. Ideal for KS1 and KS2 classrooms and computer areas.
Design 2 – “Stop, Think, Ask”
A bold traffic light design on a dark background: stop before you click, think whether it is safe to share and ask a trusted adult. Its high-contrast look works well for upper primary and secondary pupils.
Design 3 – “Your Digital Footprint Lasts Forever”
A trail of footprints filled with photos, likes and comments, with the reminder to think before you post. A strong message for secondary schools and sixth forms, where social media is part of everyday life.
Design 4 – “Be Smart, Be Safe Online”
A friendly robot reminds younger children that if something online is worrying, they should tell a grown-up. Perfect for nurseries, EYFS and KS1 classrooms.

How to use e-safety posters in school
Introduce each poster in a computing or PSHE lesson and practise the rules together, for example by talking through what counts as personal information or what to do when a pop-up appears. Then leave the poster beside the devices pupils use, so staff can point to it whenever an online issue comes up.
Use the same designs at parent workshops and in newsletters so families can repeat the rules at home, and refresh your display each February for Safer Internet Day. Many schools pair this range with our online safety poster for wider internet safety, and with a cyberbullying poster so pupils also know what to do if someone is unkind to them online. Older pupils will also relate to our internet safety poster, with designs on scams and strangers online. For nurseries and EYFS, our online safety poster for kids uses friendly characters and very simple words. To teach five memorable steps, add our SMART rules poster.

Frequently Asked Questions
The rules pupils most need to remember: keep personal details private, think before you click or share, be kind online and tell a trusted adult if something worries them. Our four designs cover these messages for every age group.
Design 1 (Our E-Safety Rules) and Design 4 (Be Smart, Be Safe Online) are written for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Design 2 (Stop, Think, Ask) suits upper KS2 and secondary pupils, and Design 3 (Your Digital Footprint) is aimed at secondary schools and sixth forms.
Next to the devices pupils use: ICT suites, tablet trolleys, laptops, charging points and library computers. A3 and A2 sizes work well on classroom and corridor walls, and an A1 poster in reception shares your e-safety message with parents.
