Mental Health Awareness Poster

A mental health awareness poster for schools and workplaces

A mental health awareness poster is a simple way to show that it is okay to talk about how you feel. In schools, colleges and workplaces across the UK, clear and positive posters help reduce stigma, remind people of everyday habits that support good mental health, and point them towards the help that is available.

These four designs are calm, kind and encouraging rather than clinical. They work alongside your wellbeing policy and support staff, and they suit primary classrooms, secondary corridors, staff rooms and offices alike. Every poster is printed in the UK on thick 260gsm paper.

Four mental health awareness poster designs

Choose a design from the Design menu above and the main image switches to show it.

Design 1 – “Your Mental Health Matters”

A peaceful sage green poster showing flowers growing from a human head, with the reminder to look after your mind the way you look after your body. Beautiful in reception areas, corridors and offices.

Design 2 – “5 Ways to Wellbeing”

A clear guide to five evidence-based habits: connect, be active, keep learning, give and take notice. Ideal for PSHE classrooms, staff rooms and workplace kitchens.

Design 3 – “Check In On Each Other”

Two mugs of tea and three simple steps: ask, listen, be there. A warm reminder for staff rooms, offices and break areas that a quick chat can make a big difference.

Design 4 – “All Feelings Are Okay”

Six friendly faces help young children name their emotions, from happy and calm to worried and angry, with the message to talk about how you feel. Perfect for EYFS and primary classrooms.

How to use mental health posters

Introduce the posters in an assembly, tutor time or team meeting, and explain who people can talk to if they are struggling. In primary schools, use Design 4 at the start of the day as a feelings check-in. In secondary schools and workplaces, place Design 2 where people take breaks and Design 3 in staff rooms to encourage colleagues to look out for each other.

Refresh your display for Children’s Mental Health Week in February, Mental Health Awareness Week in May and World Mental Health Day on 10 October. Pair this range with our be kind poster and kindness matters poster for a positive, whole-school wellbeing display. Posters support, but do not replace, professional help, so always include details of your own support team. For a simple, reassuring message, add our It’s OK Not To Be OK poster. For health displays in staff rooms and surgeries, see our stop smoking poster. For an uplifting classroom or office, add a motivational poster.
